A fine Chinese cloisonne enamel tripod censer and cover, by Lao Tian Li, c.1915, the globular body decorated with lotus flowers, scrolling leaves and fretwork scrolls on a yellow ground, the sides applied with a pair of lion mask ring handles, on three lion mask scrolled feet with similar motifs, the domed pierced cover with gilt metal lion-dog finial, engraved single line four character signature to the top rim, 23cm.
Lao Tian Li was a fine Chinese cloisonne craftsman, who established his own studio In Beijing circa 1910 to 1930. It has been speculated that he employed Qing Imperial Palace cloisonne craftsmen after the Imperial kiln was closed, at the end of the Qing Dynasty (1911) as his work is superior to much other Chinese cloisonne produced at this period. He is known to have exhibited at the San Francisco Pacific Panama International Exhibition in 1915.

Postage and packing can be arranged by the Auctioneers and will be charged at cost of postage/delivery plus an minimum charge of £10 for the first Lot and £2 for each additional lot larger items may attract a higher fee Lot.
