A case of twelve bottles of Chateau Lynch Bages 1996, Pauillac, owc.
A case of twelve bottles of Chateau Lynch-Bages 1996, Pauillac, owc. It`s become something of a tired joke to continue to refer to Lynch-Bages as the poor man`s Mouton but the position of the two, at least as measured by relative price, remains. Ranked a fifth growth in 1855, Lynch-Bages has met with stiff competition in recent years from fellow Pauillac fifths Grand-Puy-Lacoste and, especially, Pontet-Canet, but continues to be a favourite in England, and continues moreover to appreciate markedly in price at maturity approaches. Nearing early maturity now, 1996 produced its greatest successes among the Cabernet-dominated wines of the left-bank.
