A Victorian mahogany writing table with Queen Victoria inventory stamp, the top inset with four leather inset ratchetted writing slopes, over a combination of four real and four dummy drawers with four candle slides, on turned legs with fitted brass castors, stamped with a crowed VR initials next to one of the drawers, 2ft 7in. x 5ft 6in. x 3ft 8in.
Possibly made for Windsor Castle or Osborne House, it has been suggested that the table was purchased by The Queen so that four of her children could sit at the same table to write or draw.

Postage and packing can be arranged by the Auctioneers and will be charged at cost of postage/delivery plus an minimum charge of £10 for the first Lot and £2 for each additional lot larger items may attract a higher fee Lot. Insurance can be arranged subject to the terms of the carriers. However all packing will be at the purchaser’s risk. Gorringes recommend Mailboxes and Alban Shipping for high value or delicate items.
