Three interesting items including one bottle of believed rum, early C19th, contemporary hand blown bottle, driven cork, label (with small nick on right side) reads `Rhum vieux / J Bermond Jeune & Filsaird / Bordeaux`. Level high shoulder; and two half-bottles of, according to the hand written labels, `Liqueur d`Orange 1900`, driven corks in contemporary or older hand blown bottles, levels below low shoulder. Labels written on the back of the business card of a `Doctor Contancin, Ancien Maire de Montmorillon`. One further bottle of the latter (not included) tasted by Gorringes wine consultant, Matthew Britnell, 12 November 2014: bright yellow-gold, viscous; captivating honeyed nose, squeeze of orange, also fresh scrumpy estery notes; poise on palate, tingling sweetness, oily texture, well balanced; exceptional length. Nectar. Could have been bottled last week! Probably about 17-19°
